Effort over outcome
We measure success in at-bats, reps, and the kid who didn't make a team last year hitting his first triple this year. Wins are a byproduct, not the point.

Every coach is NFHS-certified, background-checked annually, and trained on Positive Coaching Alliance methodology. Here's who they are — and what they believe.
How we coach
We measure success in at-bats, reps, and the kid who didn't make a team last year hitting his first triple this year. Wins are a byproduct, not the point.
No standing in line. Every practice runs in small position-specific groups so every athlete gets coached on every rep.
We don't run a customer-service operation. Families show up dirty, volunteer for field days, and back each other's kids. That's the program.

High School Dirtbags
Mike leads the high school program and is one of the founding voices behind Diamond Dirtbags. He runs practices like a clinic — every athlete gets reps every drill, nobody stands in line.
Off the field he runs The Backyard Bougie, the small business that donates the website you're reading right now. The whole "give back to the community" thing isn't a slogan for him; it's the operating model.

High School Dirtbags
Steve coaches with Mike on the high school program and runs the program's hitting development. His bench-coaching style is calm, technical, and patient — exactly what a varsity athlete needs after popping up with two on.
He's the parent every other parent points at when their kid says "why does Coach Steve get my swing."
